Experience the majestic view of mountains and ocean from the privacy of this beautiful, cozy, wood-interior home on Baycrest Hill. Formerly owned by a ship pilot, this was the perfect lookout to watch for ships on their way to the Homer Spit. You too, can watch fishing boats troll for salmon or fish for halibut, eagles soar by, and sometimes see Mama and baby moose meander through the yard from one of 2 units available. Both have full-service kitchens, stocked with all cookware and dishes, toaster, blender, microwave, seasonings, coffee, tea, hot chocolate; full baths with shampoo, conditioner, hairdryers, Wireless Internet, Satellite TV, VCR, laundry facilities, iron and ironing board. Each unit has its own entrance. Ship Captain's View is private, yet easily accessible. It's a 3 minute drive to downtown Homer or you can enjoy the walking/bike sidewalk that extends from the Scenic Viewpoint, past Ship Captain's View and on through downtown Homer. No pets please, in consideration to those who are allergic to them. Outdoor smoking only. The Living Space The upstairs unit is 858 sq. ft. and sleeps up to 6 people, with 2 separate sleeping areas, a loft and a downstairs bedroom. Enjoy the magnificent view from both the loft bedroom and the living room. The living room provides sleeping arrangements for 2 people. Windows from ceiling to floor and a deck with BBQ make this a great place to hang out. In mid to late summer, pick fresh raspberries for breakfast right in your front yard.
